Oct 7, 2017 I cant even argue that I mean yeah....hhe definitely appeals more to white people (alot of Mexicans into rap music too from personal experience) than he would a black guy searching worldstarhiphop or a more traditional hip-hop fan definitely BUT he's not in the same vein as a Eminem, Hopsin, FBZ, UA.
Oct 7, 2017 He didn't become BONES until 2012 before that he was Th@ Kid as a rapper and like I noted he was much more behind the scenes of Raider Klan but obviously had the close friendships hence the collab tapes with Xavier in 2013 & forming a collective with 3 former RK members (Chris, Xavier and Eddie Baker)
Oct 7, 2017 Oh shittt that sounds familiar I don't know how I never made that connection. I never see anything linking him to that name. And yeah when I found out I was listening to weebs I stopped f---ing with Raider Klan so I became wary of underground artist in general from there on out
Oct 7, 2017 Raider Klan was such a poorly organized group I don't even blame them for linking up with Bones
Oct 7, 2017 @Lucifert 2R this is a thread I made a year ago exlaning why bones is a top 30 rapper https://genius.com/discussions/256906-Bones-is-a-top-30-rapper
Oct 7, 2017 d--- had no idea he'd been rapping since 2010. I had been aware of his Cali to rural town origins but never knew more than that but have always been intrigued to know how that rattled the boys head up into the aesthetic he provides today. Sadly I just don't like his music.
Oct 7, 2017 Tech once spat: "Don't play my s---, you'll have everyone in the room bitchin" I mean, he knows
Oct 7, 2017 Basically he came from hippie type parents and raised around a lot of similar characters very young and moving to Michigan was a big culture shift. He was around a bunch of rural skinheads with Confederate flags on their trucks what not, small town s--- weather no room for growth and I guess it just really got to him and made him think oh s--- this is my environment now a small rural town which most of its inhabitants grow up and grow old in that same place. Admittedly because I'm unbiased to even my favorites, I think he bigs up the whole Michigan thing to hard because he was only there from about 8-15. My explanation for it is it's not so much strictly putting his personal feelings on paper as much as it's him saying this is something I went through and I know there will be a common ground with a majority of the listeners whether from a similar physical place or feeling youre limited by your surroundings 2016-2017 though he's seem to stray away from that stuff and is much more in the present with where he is now, whether his place in music and people running with his style or simply reflecting on the new found success and what it's done for him
