    He started getting clout around the same time as chance, I think people ussually refer to them sas ns where the sound cloud movement in last couple of years is what people usually refer to as new wave

    I'd say it's really because they're not really album artists in the scope of things. They all got their start making haphazard, experimental singles on SC. Maybe some of them will get there, and maybe some of them won't. They were raised in the streaming/playlist era so that's what they know.

    Check out Tech N9ne's "Planet" for a cohesive storytelling album. Same with Logic's "under pressure" album.
