Jun 19, 2020 I just checked the Billboard 200 chart. His last three albums (Revival, Kami & MTBMB have been on #1 for only 1 week. Recovery was #1 in 7 weeks! This is a completely different level. Even Relapse was 2 weeks at #1.

Like, in 2010 they still had to make big singles and promote the album for 2-3 months, many people bought cds still.. nowadays u just post on social media and drop the album in a second, and most people stream it. I just think the climate is different, it is much easier to just listen to different artists, just my guess.

Even other new rappers can now keep their album at #1 on the chart for 2-3 weeks, and Eminem can’t. I do not understand why Eminem releases new music if he does not care about quality and promos. This is similar to how he releases a new merch. Just to release something.
