Jun 23, 2020 @Spatula aside from your hysterical flailing over your idol getting lukewarm reviews for bad work (and aside from you saying those reviews are the product of critics "pandering to black culture," which you should unpack with a priest or your social worker), can you at least be consistent in your arguments?:
Jun 23, 2020 i agree on turning this thread into a kendrick discussion GKMC S80 d--- TPAB is actually the correct order to rank his albums edit: and OD > d---
Jun 23, 2020 yeah honestly I even really enjoy the Kendrick Lamar EP too lol. Been a minute since I've listened to that or OD though (or even S80 for that matter).
Jun 23, 2020 How about bragging about being a millionaire and complaining about paying bills in the same line..
Jun 23, 2020 I’m pretty sure the only way you can do that is if you jailbreak your phone. That’s how I add songs to my library via my phone. Otherwise you have to use a computer and add them to your iTunes library and then sync them to your device.
Jun 23, 2020 Hysterical? I'm perfectly calm, don't project your feelings onto me. But where am I inconsistent? The rest of her verse does not have anything better that the line I quoted. I could have copied pasted her whole verse, I was just saving time. And calling MTBMB "bad work" just does not seem grounded in reality to me. But let me ask you this: do you consider eminem a bad rapper or a good rapper incapable of making a good song/album?
Jun 23, 2020 Accurate list! S80 is such a classic album to me, i still play pretty much all of the songs regularly, its almost that i could place it at the top of his discogrophy but d--- has higher highs
Jun 23, 2020 @WPG also, I did not accuse all critics of pandering to black culture, I said YOU are pandering.
Jun 23, 2020 You ignored my question before that but whatever. Whats the point in spelling when and how exactly is it that you're pandering, you'll just "lol" it out and call me names. But in short, for example, young mas verse being better is a perfect example. The only merit on her verse is the fact shes a black female gay rapper, as opposed to a 47 year old white guy who put infinitely more effort into his verses. You do this kind of stuff, mediocre work at best is praised by you, but eminem just plain sucks no matter what he does.
Jun 23, 2020 you know, it's great you brought up projection earlier––because you have some serious racial baggage to work out here, my guy. i like tons of rap records by black artists; i dislike plenty, too. when i praise a myka 9 album, am i "pandering" to leimert park? when i dislike one by dom kennedy, am i intentionally rejecting it? your issue with me has nothing to do with anything except your blind obsession with eminem and your insistence that he's self-evidently better than everybody else. think about it. i'm one critic among many others (not to mention fans, other rappers, etc.) who think these last x number of eminem records are not very good. is "this is part of a coordinated conspiracy" really a simpler, more likely explanation than "other people disagree with me about the artist i adore"?
Jun 23, 2020 I dont expect you to suddenly say "you're right, I am pandering" anyways, no matter what I say. And I'm not suggesting there is a conspiracy, I'm just saying you come off biased, pandering, smug and slimy, thats my problem with you, not critics in general. To quote my idol, "I just don't like you, prick"
Jun 23, 2020 you keep saying i'm "pandering." how? to whom? in what way is it "biased" for a critic to have whatever critical read he feels appropriate on an artist? what's "slimy" in my writing? stop mashing the keyboard and give us something that tracks.
