Aug 23, 2015 It was somewhat impressive, you have to give the song at least that. He never rapped that fast before, and he's only rapped faster one time, and that was in Speedom, which perfected his ability to rap fast even better.
Aug 23, 2015 But due to it's 'somewhat impressive' rap speed you rank the entire album up there with his first three?
Aug 23, 2015 mmlp2 is a good effort overall if you remove a few song it would've been much more satisfying to listen to, i hate skipping tracks but i find myself doing that a lot on this album.
Aug 23, 2015 i don't hate the album. Matter of fact I think it is a good to very good album, but it just doesn't have any replay value for me.
Aug 23, 2015 I was looking at Eminem albums on Wikipedia and saw that had made something before the Slim Shady LP, and that was Infinite. I checked the album out on YouTube and really liked it.
Aug 23, 2015 There is no replay value to the album, the best verse (bad guy pt 2) is a 7 out of 10 and no other verses even come close to it The best thing on the album was the album is the parking lot skit The whole album seems like a bunch of random songs thrown together Encores bottom 3 >>>MMLP 2s bottom 3
Aug 23, 2015 why i hate mmlp2...? Bad Guy - toilet line Rhyme Or Reason - eminem can't sing So Much Better - 1st verse is woat Survival - WBD part 2 Legacy - generic youtube hook a------ (feat. Skylar Grey) - woat beat, generic youtube hook Berzerk - rick rubin production is awful, song is too messy Rap God - even I can rap supersonic speed part, eminem please Brainless - this is a good song but I hate it Stronger Than I Was - awful singing The Monster (feat. Rihanna) - s-----y pop song So Far... - rick rubin production is awful Love Game (feat. Kendrick Lamar) - rick rubin production is awful, KING KENDRICK verse tho!! Headlights (feat. Nate Ruess) - Nate did a good job but Eminem ruined the song with pointless screaming Evil Twin - this song is dope as h--- but I hate it cause it's Eminem
Aug 23, 2015 I love the bonus disc more than the standard disc. On the standard disc are good songs without doubt but to be real Wicked Ways, Groundhog Day, Baby and Desperation ( even I never listen to this) are flawless
Aug 23, 2015 this Average with very little replay value. that's what pulls the album back and tbh, I feel like that's rubins fault cuz even relapse has more replay than this
Aug 23, 2015 Definitely his best album since The Eminem Show and one of the more interesting musically. Anyone critizing the Rick Rubin production is very close-minded, some of the most refreshing stuff he's done in his entire career. His lyrics are among his best ever and are incredibly in depth, sometimes having three or four different entendres. The album is filled with "easter eggs" towards his older music and is an amazing spiritual successor. In my opinion, the only flaws are a few tracks, some hooks, and some of the sequencing. But it really was Eminem's return to full form.
Aug 23, 2015 hating a song over one line is stupid as f--- lol song is great. nothing wrong with the production song is bad because you can rap fast? ok yup that's specific now I'm convinced you're being sarcastic pls tell me you're being sarcastic
Aug 23, 2015 Given your sarcasm I'll explain why I don't enjoy the album song by song, the main issue is any songs that don't really have things wrong with them still feel bland/average leaving them with little replay value. (p.s. I'm not a modern day Eminem hater, I enjoy GoF, Fine Line, KND, All I Think About and, Medicine Man) Bad Guy - first part is bland, I feel the song could have been better if he didn't try keep the fact it's a Stan sequel a secret till the 3rd verse and wrote it differently. The second part is good, as you mentioned one bad line but that doesn't destroy the song like some suggest. Rhyme or Reason - The singing you mentioned is the best part of the song but the but the verses once again just aren't memorable. A couple of bad lines here and there but nothing too bad. So Much Better - lyrically the song is just horrible ,a couple of the worst lines are the driving drunk line and the oink oink bit. It's a shame considering how great the lesbian line is. Survival - Your comment pretty much explained it, the song is just a bunch of bad lines over a pop rock beat that provides little reply value. Legacy - I really enjoyed this on my first listen until the third verse, it has a few bad lines which I can ignore but the pigs will fly out my a--- in a flying saucer full of Italian sausage line is easily one of the worst lines he has ever written plus it is way to over emphasised. a------ - The beat clatters the song way too much, this is the first time I've given the song a full listen because of it. Berzerk - Great beat, great hook, good first verse but the second and third verses were just terrible (Pow-p-p-p-pow, chica, pow, chica, wow-wow) Rap God - A few highlights e.g. the 6 minutes reference to Remember Me? in the intro, the first half of the first verse, the reference to the censored line in I'm Back and the supersonic speed bit. However that adds up to about a minute to a minute and a half, the song is 6 minutes long, it leaves us with 4 and a half minutes of just him rhyming making it another bland song for me. Brainless - One of my favourite beats on the album however once again verses are bland at points, wasn't a fan of the hook, loved the bridge, lyrically probably the best full song on the album, I still love the 'you motherfuckin' (insert insult here)' line. Average song still. STIW - You pretty much summed it up, the singing is awful and lyrically it sounds like something a 13 year old girl would write after her first break up. The Monster - Served its purpose of being a big hit radio single, It was one of the few songs where the verses didn't seem lacklustre, however it had a few bad lines through the song plus the beggars cant be choosy line is really lazy. Not usually my type of song but it's probably the best song on the album apart from Bad Guy pt2. It's somewhere between good and average. Also the video was great. So Far - Loved the sample plus the Real Slim Shady and I'm Back references but the lyrics and content are dreadful in some parts. Half of the first verse is literally about him shi--ing. Love Game - Song was very disappointing considering it has two of the best rappers on it. A bland first verse, a average verse from Kendrick, then the last verse was decent. Average song. Headlights - One of the three songs (along with The Monster and Bad Guy) that seemed to have a point and contribute towards the purpose of the album rather than feeling like a song just thrown in with a bunch of other random songs however it was also one of the most boring songs on the album. Every thing about it was dull, the beat, the chorus and the verses. Evil Twin - The middle three minutes are great however the opening minute and a half as well as the closing minutes and a half are just bland and bad lyrically really dragging the quality of the song down. 4/10 album Listening as I was writing this made me realise that the problem on a lot of songs is his delivery is just lacklustre. I think it was when I was listening to The Monster and his delivery on it literally s----s on his delivery for most other songs on this album. With a better delivery this album could have been a 6/7 out of 10.
Aug 23, 2015 d--- the people on this forum are so naive. @Arch Dogg is literally the definition of a s--- member.
