Feb 7, 2021 I love Lupe like the next man, but his consistency plagues his discography. Two true classics, two borderline classics and three flops to his studio catalogue CV. His mixtape game is alright, but as a whole discography he leaves a lot to be desired and though his highs are high, they aren't earthshattering enough to be indisputably top 10 consensus. Personally he's enough to be in my top 10, but there's reason why he wouldn't be for others. He is much maligned and does overextend himself sometimes at the expense of musicality. If he, Ye and Pharrell released CRS then that s--- would've been a wrap and he would've been my GOAT by now
Feb 8, 2021 Actually, even though I might not list him as top 10 if you ask me, I'd definitely be ok with seeing him on any top 10. The guy has some really great albums and gems under his belt. Now I got a urge to listen to his whole discography. Guess I'll start with the Food & Liquor today in my car ride back to home from work.
Feb 8, 2021 He is GOATED in my books. 2 cemented classics and 2 more really good albums. When you think about it he had a better discography than a lot of rappers people claim to be goat. Unfortunately, label issues meant he dropped a couple of weak albums. I just ignore those, they are not the albums he would make if he had his own way I thought drogas wave was amazing, its kind of a hard listen but has some of his best content did you not like it?
Feb 9, 2021 Lupe is top 10. I don't need to debate it. The people we call GOATs have already said Lupe is one of the greatest. Unless GOAT opinions are irrelevant to yall. Also the folks saying lupe peaked is funny. Drogas Wave was an amazing album. Easily one of his best projects. Tetsuo & Youth is also an amazing album.
Feb 9, 2021 Good question. Probably because he’s not top 10 dead or alive. He’s not even top 10 alive. Just my opinion
