Jay is the 3rd best selling album OAT in terms of album sales and he sold a bunch of singles. He's highly skilled, has a great career, and definitely deserves to be in a top 5 DOA conversation even though he's not my personal fave.
But I noticed people overseas generally don't buy into Jay the same way they do Eminem or Tupac. h---, I think Kanye, Drake, Wayne, and even 50 Cent have more stans worldwide than him.
They might know who he is partly because of the Beyonce/Rihanna connection but the actual stanning of Jay-Z feels minimal outside the U.S. Even Nas(my personal GOAT) seems to get more respect, albeit Jay is much more popular.
