Jul 1, 2018 Dunno if OP knew but on itunes its possible to play both songs that u stream from apple music and the ones that are downloaded on ur pc and then u can upload them to itunes cloud and voila on phone u have available both insane amount of streamable music plus all mixtapes and other tapes that aren't available for streaming (theres a lot of them especially in rap) Doesn't take nearly as much space as downloading everything on ur phone, plus if u have a limitless data plan like everyone here in finland does (imagine not having one) it shouldnt be a problem...
Jul 1, 2018 It's convenient just having a couple devices, Cbf carrying around a dap. Again the biggest benefit of why I use Spotify is you are not limited to what's in youtr library. If I'm at a party or something I ain't got time to download a random song that I want to play
Jul 1, 2018 also if u wna listen to a leak its not ahrd to download it, listen to it and when its released on a streaming platform u can just switch to that??? thats what ive been doing
Jul 1, 2018 Watch @Webber turn a thread about streaming into him talking about our white guilt or something
Jul 1, 2018 Have heard yes but with the other cons and the fact you don't really own the music it's a false sense of a library I can't get behind that. As far as the storage concern you could have it all in the cloud to save space oif you needed and still own your music
Jul 1, 2018 Oh okay your just going to hate regardless, forgot who you were for a moment I guess I've got into a lot of instrumental stuff because I was in my final year of school and needed hardcore study music, so stuff like Massive Attack, Aphex twin, Moon Safari - Air, really atmospheric jazz hiphop like DJ Krush (I was a massive DJ Shadow fan already), I know you'll probably s--- on it but I like Vaporwave too for example Blank Banshee is my fav artist I've discovered so far
Jul 1, 2018 But like why do both, I get what you mean but it seems like you're adding another step there for no reason.
Jul 1, 2018 Massive attack isn't really instrumental music but yeah im a big fan of massive attack.and I like DJ Shadow. Never big into aphex twin definitely not f---ing with vaporwave lmao Based of those do you like portishead (the most common comparison to Massive Attack), Burial? Tim Hecker? James Blake electronic EPs? ARCA? Iglooghost? Boards of Canada? Oneohtrix Point Never? ALL GREAT and similar to what you listed in ways. I love droney ambient moody dark hard electronic / instrumental music and then s--- like Iglooghost is SPASTIC a--- off the wall 100mph electronic music similar to some aphex twin work
Jul 1, 2018 I know but I love Massive Attack's instrumentals. I'm a sucker for soundscapes and just the unconventional. DJ Shadow is one of my fav artists...obviously endtroducing but also his second record The Private Press. Midnight in a Perfect world is my favorite song EVER. Aphex Twin is dope...lot of electronic soundscapes and such. I know vaporwave got a negative stigma around it but it can be really beautiful I downloaded and listened to Portishead- Dummy after I fell in love w/ massive attack , it's a great album but haven't downloaded anything else. Was just looking into ARCA last night but wasn't really feeling any of the songs I heard on youtube so it might not be for me. Crazy ironic you mentioned, I have a buddy that has similar interests and he recommended me Boards of Canada - Music has the right to Children and I just downloaded it I'm not shi--ing you 30 minutes ago. Never heard of those other artists you mentioned but I'm always interested in checking stuff out, I'm actually really particulate as to what I like it either makes me fall in love with it or I don't really care for whatever it is.
Jul 1, 2018 Not white guilt. The "PC community" is basically an international conspiracy, and a real one at that, not an Alex Jones one. A YouTuber was literally arrested and convicted for teaching his pug a politically edgy trick. @WPG is an oaf and his weighing in on this issue was basically a psychological reflex rooted in a deep fear that the OP's line of reasoning might lead to scrutiny into a certain, shall we say, political entity. (I'd rather use another phrase but he'd just have me banned again for "racism.")
Jul 1, 2018 Music Has The Right To Children a literal 10/10 album. Try: (all are projects) Arca - Xen / &&&&&& Tim Heckler - Ravedeath 1972 Burial - Untrue / Kindred Iglooghost - Neo Wax Bloom James Blake - Klaverkie EP / CMYK EP Oneohtrix Point Never - Replica Would also recommend Portishead self titled album has been samples in rap numerous times
Jul 1, 2018 Lmfao f--- the billion dollar platform. Buy vinyl to support artist or better yet go to their shows
