pretty sure I only heard new day and my life but 90% of kanan is better than both

50 used to rap about giving girls drugs in the club and f---ing b------s and candy shop and shooting n----s all over grodt & the massacre so I'm not sure why his content is offending you now

If Em experiments, branches out, tries something new & makes sure it works/resonates with the audience (much like 50 did with Kanan Tape), then he CAN make a comeback.

But if he continues with the recycles & rehashes AKA "plays it safe", then a comeback is unlikely.

    2003-05 50 > 2003-05 Em. Not even close.

Em now > 50 now. Not even close.

If by "come back like 50" you mean not come back at all then yes.

50 is borderline irrelevent; with a string of dud singles, a forgettable G-Unit reunion, and no album release date in sight. That free tape came and went. It was alright, but he hasn't been able to generate any excitement musically for like 10 years or so.

Eminem's situation is totally different. In fact it's almost a polar-opposite. He's so big his projects hype themselves. Whatever single he releases will succeed well enough, whether it sucks or not.. You won't see any interesting stunts or news, certainly no free music to generate buzz. Eminem has never really relied on hot beats or producers, so we'll get the same s--- as always. His vocals used to carry songs, but not anymore. Outlook is pretty bleak tbh.

With the right producers, actual collaboration with dope underground/mainstream & relevant artists, and some co writers to focus things up then yes. I think it's possible he can make a come back. The lyrical ability and talent is still there, but he needs to jump outside his comfort zone and experiment. My dream production and features for a new em album below
Production: Kanye West, Illangelo (Exec on BBTM and The Hills), & Dan Auerbach (member of The Black Keys. Also produced Lana Del Rey's Ultra Violence).
Other producers that would also be dope: Doc Mckinney, Nate Fox, T-Minus, Terrace Martin.
Features: Lana Del Rey, The Weeknd, Drake, Killer Mike, Joey Badass, Kendrick Lamar, Future, Young Thug, Elton John & Frank Ocean, The Underachievers, The Black Keys, Adele, ILoveMakonnen, FlatBushZombies, Asap Rocky, Tinashe, & Schama Noel.

Bruh tell me an Em album with that production and features wouldn't be flames :emoji_fire::emoji_fire::emoji_fire::emoji_fire: People would lose their s--- with features like that.

... I did. I think I covered quality when I said 50 hasn't made anything musically exciting in 10 years, and that Eminem has a proven track-record for bland production with no real hints of change.

Only thing lacking is production and I could almost guaruntee that Dre is gonna hop on his last project heavily. Though I don't think this will be his last solo so we will see if Dre is active at all.

I mean, idk where u live but everyone I know irl who's listened to the kanan tape know it's a strong step in the right direction for 50

I know you had a strong track record of only listening to shady record affiliated artists since SL so maybe the London production might not appeal to you

Completely forgot I had The Kanan Tape on my phone until I saw this thread tbh :wow2: Listening to it now.
Em definitely needs to branch out and find new producers (London, Metro, Southside, Brandon Thomas, Kanye, etc.) and working with other artists (Drake, Future, Thug, The Weeknd, Killer Mike, Vince Staples, Underachievers, etc.)
Basically just leave his comfort zone and try and bring life into his work. Maybe bring in more co-writers to make sure his bars are right, and the hooks are dope.
He has the potential but he doesn't want to experiment much. Rick Rubin was a good thought, and was a small step in the right direction but it was poorly executed.
He could potentially drop a AOTY if he gets his s--- together.

Outside of this board, I don't know of anyone who even bothered to listen to 50's new tape. The production is fine, the tape was alright. A strong step in the right direction? 50 Cent hasn't made a step in any direction, ever, except maybe the strange growly phase in '09.

"strong track record of only listening to shady record affiliated artists since SL"? Whatever you say pal. I won't deny the irony of this coming up in a 50 Cent discussion though.
