    It was maybe a little too long and maxwell lord being redeemed is a--- cause he’s a villain not a guy that made some bad choices, otherwise I thought it was really great and I don’t give a f--- what anyone says about it. Everybody mad cause it’s not like the first one and that it’s so campy, of course it’s freaking campu it’s set in the 80’s

    it has nothing to do with the camp, it's an objectively awful movie lol. and max lord's redemption was one of the few interesting (if predictable) parts of the plot.
    not a single aspect of this movie was 'great', save for maaaaybeeee Diana's character development....

    take off your fanboy goggles lmao.

    Outside of the cheesy mall sequence in the beginning, it really didn’t feel like a movie set in the 80’s. It feels like they were really just using the 80’s for marketing and because 80’s nostalgia is popular. But there was no real attempt made to make a meaningful connection to the 80’s.

    yeah it had an 80s-ish mall and a trying-on-clothes thing. only other things 80s about it was its politics.

    Yes it was a bit of a let down. A little too long and cheesy at times. But I wouldn’t say it was trash.

    i know it is, but i also think theres a lot of groupthink/dog piling out there regarding it. like yes its a mess. but ive seen a lot of worse movies that have zero (0) redeeming qualities. this, despite its immense camp and incoherence, is at least entertaining or harmlessly dumb in moments. i genuinely think its reputation was done no favors by being casually viewed via streaming not theaters. (it also strives to be aspirational or something - which A. doesnt work - its set in the cocaine 80s not golly gee 1920 - but also B. lends itself to cynical guffaws/reads . meme culture gets another scalp)

    again not trying to play sasha here, or even defend it. but i saw batman and robin in theaters (lol) and have lived long enough for the gays to discover and reappraise it.

    Is this worth the watch? Didn’t love the first one. Gal Gadot is beautiful, and she definitely looks the part, but I find her acting just plain bad.

    If you didn't like the first one you're going to hate this more than the average person. I went into the 1st one thinking I wouldn't like it and thought it was great. The storyline in this one sucks and so do the "bad guys"

    I was fine with the corniness cause it's a superhero movie you kinda have to accept goofy logic like a magic rock I don't need everything to be "realistic" and that's kinda appreciated tbh I thought some of the lines and camera shots were weird and too drawn out and dc cgi has always been a little wonky overall I had a decent time it wasn't the worst thing I've seen but it's definitely not the best
