The song lives off the beat and the outstanding hook tbh, ultimately resulting in vibes I can't appreciate enough. The original version of FML might take the song to even higher heights but it's hard to assess that based on a not too long snippet.

The lyrics aren't what I really focus on while listening to FML in the end so that's not too much of a problem 4 me.

I haven't listened yet, but I think Nathan Zed (popular YouTuber) made a playlist that was the original tracklist + some extra tracks that came together much more cohesively narrative wise.

I love kanyes actual verse. The lexapro/episode in Mexico bit is one of my favorites parts of the album

It's the life of Pablo, breh. Which is a concept I really like, though I'm not sure how well "fleshed out" I think it is. I do think he meant the line "y'all heard about the good news?" to be his version of "spreading the Word." The narrative is actually crystal clear. I think it's hard to do a big, iconic concept like that and execute it well. He tries. I see what he was aiming for. He hits it, in places.

You hear the Nina sample towards the end of the song and she sounds so much better. This isn't a "le wrong generation" thing, its just that Rihanna isnt that good of a singer to me.

I think the narrative of the album according to the original tracklist would appear to be a man that is kind of an a------ sex addict who finds redemption/peace/solace in religion or is trying desperately .

I like this, in general I think he's in a much happier place from what I get from all the hedonistic lyrics on here. He sounds more satisfied with life than what he was on for the most part on Yeezus & MBDTF. Not sure if this will be clear but the album really is a Picasso painting; it looks disjointed but it tells a whole lot more than what's on the surface.

edit: I enjoyed reading that review it explained a lot to me. Gonna write Max B some stuff, gotta remind him the fans still miss him.

Finally someone else says this. I totally agree. I've never been a fan of Rihanna to begin with, but I can tolerate her at times. The "Famous" hook is not one of those times.
