I disagree, the singles from Culture are fantastic + a few others like slippery but the bulk of the album cuts aren’t as strong. Culture II didn’t have as strong of pre-album singles (besides stir fry which is GOAT) but the album cuts are so strong.

I think the only songs I skip are White Sand, Flooded, and Beast (and sometimes crown the kings and open it up simply because they’re around the skip songs and I wanna get onto the super strong b side songs like Too Playa and Made Men). But for 21/24 is an extremely high batting average.

I personally prefer 1 > 2 (I actually really like tracks like Kelly Price and Out Yo Way).

2 is undeniably great, but it's gonna have to be a Nay from me.

Wow enjoying Culture 3 but I'll be honest, I've never listened to either of the first 2.

Back in ‘04, Eminem and Cam’ron nearly clashed in an all-out beef. What would’ve happened if the two engaged in a full-scale war of words? Experts say: volcanos would’ve erupted, magnetic poles would’ve shifted, the Earth would’ve rotated off its axis.

The beef stemmed from D12’s “40 Oz” video, where they recreated a scene from “Get Em Girls”, and Em attacked a phony Cam. Killa took offense to this, in turn, had two diss tracks powered by DJ Kay Slay ready to fire off at Shady and DJ Green Lantern: “k--- em Cam” and “My b----”.

Though the tracks never surfaced (to my knowledge) Cam has taken shots at Em through freestyles, recreating “Stan” and firing off on all cylinders.

The beef was interesting for numerous reasons. Eminem, at this point, was falling off from his peak due to drug addiction while Cam and Dipset were taking over the East Coast with an iron fist. That doesn’t mean Em wasn’t still sharper than the middle finger of Freddy Krueger’s glove. He was still witty, bars delivered like Jon Jones’ elbows and he dropped rhymes as if he’s mastered them over lifetimes.

By the time Purple Haze invaded Walkmans, Killa was a technical marvel on the mic. Where Em put effort into his technical skill, Cam executed effortlessly as if he rhymed off muscle memory alone.

In this Yay or Nay, Cam would’ve bodied Eminem if this beef kicked off in 2004.

Have you heard Cam’s disses in general? He slapped the s--- out of Nas and Hov. He’s fearless.

Em picked opponents that couldn’t fight back as hard.

    Gonna say Yay.

Although I'm sure the bigger fan base would've made enough noise for Em to have "won" I just don't think that coming off Encore and D12 World Em had it in him to be the true winner of that beef.

In 2004 Em was already deep in pills and rapping from the perspective of Pee Wee Herman and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. 2004 was during Cam’s prime and he could rap circles around you while also sounding like he didn’t care. Cam was also hilarious and this was a low point for Em when it comes to humor.

    Yay

I’m glad Em had the self-awareness not to go at Cam, Kanye, T.I., or Wayne during this period because it woulda been just sad. By his own admission he woulda had his a--- handed to him.

I have heard them, they’re dope. Em is just different when he makes a serious diss track in my opinion.

Definitely agree with you though about Em not picking more challenging opponents.

In the beefs em had did em pick them? Ja no, benzino, no, mgk no, everlast no. There hasn’t been a high caliber rapper to diss Eminem. Them beefs em was in is him responding, so your can comparison is irrelevant

Em was more of an answer guy. And the only relevant rapper that had an issue with Em back then was Ja, and it was really with 50.
