    Yay

Reasonable Doubt is overrated. s--- flopped hard when it came out and only became “good” when Jay became a big draw.

Hard one but nay. I like Jay but DMX's style usually makes my head ache lol. Can't really listen to him for a whole album. I can agree that It's Dark And h--- Is Hot is a classic and actually I might relisten to that again soon to see if I remember correctly but I'm almost certain Jay's Reasonable Doubt is better than this.

Oh f---. What are you doing to me man?? I love X and his whole discog bangs but RD is an undeniable classic and helps define the definition "classic". So as much as it pains me to say this I'm gonna go with NAY.

Man, Reasonable Doubt is a great album but when IDAHIH came out that was huge and being played EVERYWHERE. It was the album you'd listen to at parties, at the gym, before getting in a fight with a dude over him IM'ing your girl on AOL.... RD is probably better overall but I'd go Yay for DMX

Yay, they're two of the greatest rap records ever but Its Dark is just a little more substantial, ambitious and personally its one of my favorite albums ever.

Nay, but it makes me happy to see people saying yay simply because I don't see DMX get his flowers often enough anymore

Cause I was comparing debut albums, not albums released in 98. Plus I think this is a pretty evenly matched line up and I don't think that would be.

Hard one. I think I'll go with Dark Man X, he was unstoppable back then.

I'm honestly shocked by how many people are going for X here—jay standom (or at least appreciation for RD) is much lower than I'd predicted

I'm a huge Jay stan and RD fan but honestly I think only Blueprint or American Gangster would have a chance against It's Dark
