RD is prob my fav Jay album. But I legit haven't listened to X's debut front to back in almost a decade so I really should peep that again before saying nay.

Please do it. Listening through that album from front to back is a whole journey through X's state of mind, while Reasonable Doubt is Jay Z doing... well Jay Z things. Perfectly executed no question but pretty much limited to Mafioso and High Life rap. Something Jay Z did for his whole career (until 4:44 I guess)

RD was amazing, it's a classic no doubt, but when X dropped... man.

i'll go nay. but both are awesome albums.

i saw DMX live in D.C. at the howard theatre and he was wild just like you'd expect lol. the last song of his concert was of course ruff ryders anthem and he stood ON TOP of a speaker that was in the air while rapping that song. it was awesome haha

this is not exactly true lol. it wasn’t a particularly big album, but nothing on that label was—roc-a-fella didnt have the def jam deal yet—and it was very well received by those who heard it
