(I didn't see a thread for this??? merge this if it does exist somewhere)

so the latest YG singles (swag & out on bail ; not feeling "equinox" that much) are really good and this album (apparently "heavily inspired by Tupac") might be the most solid project from this man since Still Brazy

no tracklist yet, but other tracks that might be on it:

Looking forward to this. Hopefully better than his last couple of efforts.

idk I love YG and believe he has another MKL/SB tier album in him, but I don’t think this is it

Don't think we're gonna ever get another Still Brazy...

I'm fine with that too, even something on the caliber of Stay Dangerous will sit well with me. For what it's worth I've loved the singles leading to this

I think this is gonna be a great album. All the singles are really good and I feel like he’s more clear headed since still Brazy

Hoping Equinox doesn't make the cut but everything else is flames so far. Out on Bail is a TUNE

new interview about the album, blm, etc.
    https://www.latimes.com/entertainme...9-24/yg-my-life-4hunnid-new-album-out-on-bail

it won't be anything like MKL but it does sound very promising if you ask me:

"But beyond “FTP,” the tracks on “4Hunnid” represent something new in his catalog — a slower, darker and even gentler album about the toll all that death enacts on the living.

On “Thugs Cry,” he raps about the paranoia and alienation that come from knowing cops are hanging on any reason to put him away. “They try to connect the dots, but it don’t connect, like pinstripes,” he raps. “When you call my phone, when you know it’s tapped, that’s an indict.”"

"“Blood Walk,” “Rodeo” and “Laugh Now Kry Later” hold the flame for his club-ready instincts. But much of the music here, rather than his typical thick-curved basslines and gothic-funk synths, is strung with lonely guitar lines and fogged with vocal reverb on “Hate” and “War Scars.”"

will it be his 7 day theory?
(I'd love some rawly mixed YG tbh)

    soooo

huge disappointment for me, the only solo YG track we hadn't heard is "jealous" (which is very good), and most guest verses and hooks are just... not my thing
just started the westside gunn album and it's already >>>>>>>> way better than this imo

Can’t listen til later, cautiously excited. How is the Wayne feature? On par with his I Got a Question verse?

Wayne is great. My initial reaction from one passive listen is better than 4REAL4REAL but not as good as his first three.

Interesting, cause I’d rank 4Real ahead of Stay Dangerous

4REAL is a little tighter, but the B-side of Stay Dangerous is so good that it makes up for the couple duds near the beginning of the album imo. I do love the first four songs on 4REAL especially though.

I don't think it's a landslide or anything, but there are only like four songs I'd skip on 4REAL, compared to Stay Dangerous which only has four or so songs I'd want to listen to again

Which songs do you like from Stay Dangerous?

Only ones I don't really like are Bulletproof, Handgun, and Suu Woop, which gives the album a rough start but I love the run from Big Bank onward especially (edit: big sean verse aside).
