This is tough. There's a bunch of albums hovering around the HM area. But if I had to narrow it down to those I've got the most entertainment out of

    DS2 / Monster / 56 Nights
    My Krazy Life
    Enter the Wu Tang
    Blueprint
    GRODT
    College Dropout
    Supreme Clientele
    Drought 3

BIGFOOT, Ricky, Ordinary Joel and 5 others like this.

Post your PF albums, no matter how f---ing unpopular or popular it might be, can be good, trash by many, or classic. Maybe 5 will do the trick. Reserved for now.

Agree. Everyone really should check it out if they haven’t already. It’s fantastic.

Side note. This is going to sound r-----ed, but when Chamillionaire first announced his retirement from music, I was incredibly disappointed. But I convinced myself he was just taking an extended hiatus. But over the years as he’s stayed true to his word, my disappointment has evolved into somewhat of a sadness (kind of similar to when your favorite rapper dies way too soon but obviously not that serious). Yea he had a monster hit with riding dirty, but Cham was and still is incrediblely underrated as a rapper. His catalogue is phenomenal. And his hook game? It’s up there with Nate Dogg and 50 Cent. Luckily for his fans and his legacy, he left us with a massive catalogue to enjoy before he called it quits. I don’t listen to him as frequently as I did back in the day, but when I hear one of his songs, I get s----d right into the Chamillionaire wormhole and listen to countless hours of his s---. Dude is a beast.

Off the top of my head:

    - Biggie: Ready To Die
    - Biggie: Life After Death
    - Tupac: Me Against The World
    - Jay Z: The Blueprint
    - Nas: Illmatic

Pretty obvious I grew up in a specific era lol. That’s just off the top of my head, but there are so many more albums that I absolutely love to listen to on a regular basis. 50 Cent Guess Who’s Back and GRODT and Power of the Dollar, Gravediggaz Six Feet Deep is an underground classic, MBDTF, h--- most of Kanye’s discography, Reasonable Doubt, 36 Chambers, all the original wu tang solo albums, Supreme Clientele, UGK Riding Dirty, Chamillionaire and Paul Wall Get Ya Mind Correct, Beastie Boys Paul’s Boutique, both Big L albums, just about every OutKast album...

s--- there are so many it’s hard to pick.

Honestly couldn’t narrow it down if I tried. Reasonable Doubt/The Blueprint, Life After Death, and MBDTF are enduring favourites, but there are so many albums I love that trying to choose is impossible.

An album that holds a special place in my heart that I don’t hear mentioned very often is Puff Daddy’s No Way Out. First rap album I ever heard in full.

That's the one, mate. It was the first album from Onyx that I checked out... What an album wheew. Rob and Vic, Veronica, Raze it up etc classic material.

haha fair play man. They had mad amounts of talent and that aggression they have is insane.

50 killed the feature shame he only had 8 bars or so on it though. The video is dope too.

Shut Em Down the Onyx album? If so, props man.

I still listen to this album every few months or so. It always brings me right back to my high school days smoking blunts and drinking OE 40s outside in the middle of winter haha

This album was the first time I ever heard 50 cent too.

    Bishop Lamont - The Reformation
    The Chemical Brothers - Further
    El-P - Cancer 4 Cure
Fatboy Slim - You've Come a Long Way, Baby
Kirzz Kaliko - Kickin' & Screamin'
    Muse - Absolution
The Prodigy - Fat Of The Land
    Radiohead - Kid A
Sia - 1000 Forms of Fear
    Torii Wolf - Flow Riiot

Tried to think of ones I probably haven't mentioned. Artists like Nas, Eminem*, Royce, Run the Jewels, Radiohead have enough good albums that they are in a pretty constant rotation. Ces Cru too actually. The Strokes are great but I don't listen to them an awful lot.

*I've listened to Relapse countless times, normally in some form of playlist. Probably more than any other Eminem album now.

I remember playing the f--- out of that album. Even friends who heard it asked me to borrow it.

I kind of agree that they were a little too similar to JMT but that’s also why they were great as part of Army of the Pharaohs.

You know what it is actually, it’s that they were the only Christians in AOTP and I related to them growing up in a Latin American Christian household.

    Yep the Xzibit one fam

Honestly fam I'm more of a dusthead (not the drug) haha

I still listen to new stuff tho. Denz Curry, joyners cool, don't know if you've heard of Tay Money? She's kind of basic lyric wise, but her flow is dope. Idk, most albums these days only have 4 or 5 great songs, or I'm just listening to the wrong albums. I like a few thug songs but overall i wouldn't really say im a fan.

You guys got any recommendations and i'll give them a listen.
