Mar 14, 2015 as I said in the intro, i didn't know how kendrick would handle his new role as like rap's "messiah." i thought he would get tunnel vision..but i trust @Big Country and he says its dope so im back on the bandwagon why?
Mar 14, 2015 Dont get me wrong, in my opinion The Heart pt.1 and The Heart pt.3 are excellent tracks, but for me The Heart pt.2 is on another level. The beat, the intro, the way he flows on the track, the subject matters and of course the end of the song is one of the most powerful moments i had ever heard on a Hip Hop song. A lot of memorable lines too: And again, the end of the track is breathtaking. The rhyme scheme, the way he flows those lines and the cough in the middle of the spitting is really emotional.
Mar 14, 2015 pt2 takes too long to build up for me -- I know the build up is the point, and even pt1 and pt 3 have build up that they rely on, but pt 1 and 3 are just morning engaging for me. Pt1 has that old school vibe, and the 3 has the entire context of GKMC leaking, responding to his fans, etc It's "heart" btw, not "hearth"
