May 20, 2015 New Underground? New Carbon? Im excited Ghost Games is promising a "dramatically different" Need for Speed and reportedly engaging in “more open conversations" with fans.
May 20, 2015 Hopefully by "dramatically different" they mean like how the games use to be, back when they didn't s---, and not some weird "innovative" new take on the series to push it farther from games like Underground 2 than it already is.
May 20, 2015 I havent played one since carbon.. I dont know how they screwed this up. Hopefully by ''the next chapter'' they mean a sequel and hopefully customization is back (one can hope)!
May 20, 2015 This s--- has gotten stale for a long time. Do that Underground 3 or don't do it at all.
May 22, 2015 looks great but so have a lot of these games. how it drives and customizes is another thing entirely
Jun 14, 2015 In the works at Ghost Games, the game is a “full reboot” containing “deep customization, authentic urban car culture, a nocturnal open world, and an immersive narrative.” The team is developing the racer using the same version of the Frostbite Engine as Star Wars: Battlefront. “Need for Speed is one of the most iconic names in gaming, and we’re returning it to greatness in this reboot,” said Marcus Nilsson, executive producer at Ghost Games in the press release. “Pulling on our 20 years of history, and then taking a year out from releasing a game, we are making the game we’ve always wanted to. We’re listening to the fans and delivering an experience that will capture their imagination and unleash their passion for cars and speed.” EA’s Speedhunters community is lending a hand in research and development to ensure “real-world authenticity”. Need for Speed will launch worldwide in fall 2015 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A full reveal will take place on June 15 during EA’s E3 2015 press conference.
