    Not to be one of those guys but it seems a little naive to go "well this guy is the most commercialized rapper, might as well consider him the best and follow him based on that alone"

    Yeah but that's because of his built in fanbase that's secluded from rap as a whole. Eminem is his own entity, full of "I hate rap but love slim" type people. As far as hip hop goes, drake is the most commercial

    He also referred to himself as "The Leader of the New School" and "The New Fresh Prince" all the time back in his Room for Improvement days. I think that's what he's getting at.
