Jul 4, 2016 This was my introduction to g--- Starr, and is one of my favorite songs of all time. Guru and Deck k--- their verses, and I'd say this is arguably one of Premier's best beats, though don't argue because I'm right. My favorite bars is from Deck's verse: Stand like Collossus, regardless to whom or what Numerous attempts at my life, so who to trust? Who but us, to supply ya with the fire The burning truth 150 Absolut proof On the mic like Moses spoke in golden scribe The way Guru opens up the first verse is dope as well I Self Lord and Master shall bring disaster to evil factors Demonic chapters shall be captured by Kings Through the storms of days after Unto the Earth from the Sun through triple darkness To blast ya, with a force that can't be compared To any firepower, for it's mindpower shared So many quotables.
Jul 4, 2016 Here's a longer version of my post. This song has the best intro, the best vocal samples, the best oriental samples and the best rap verses. It's absolute heaven to get to listen to this song because it's not hardcore or jazzy like DJ Premier's other songs, it's more of an oriental tripout set to hip-hop music. Inspectah Deck had a poor solo career but his verses on other people's music has been fire; and he fits the oriental theme of the song well. With him being from the Wu-Tang Clan and all. I can't believe not many people appreciate g--- Starr anymore.
