Nice job - I think given the moment a lot of reviews are connecting this project to what’s going on . I do wish you had pushed that angle a little more. Where does art like this square w action irl... killer mikes speech has been polarizing I think and rly points out the limitations of rhetoric in a project like this, or at least creates some tension

Thanks! Honestly it took me a while to write, bc I wasn’t sure if I should go more political or not even though it’s pretty unavoidable. I took longer than usual bc of thought process.

For some reason I don’t really have much confidence in this, but I stand by what I wrote though. I think I psyched myself out honestly

For sure totally get it. I’d just encourage u to engage w the album and try to find an angle other ppl aren’t saying - not to say be contrarian but u want ur writing to stand out if that makes sense.

My RTJ opinion is probably somewhat controversial, but I really don't enjoy their music.

Both Killer Mike and El-P are fantastic artists and my love for them both precedes RTJ - but I feel like having heard one album, I've heard them all.

I couldn't get into EA, just seems so basic to me.

PTSD, rtj4, alfredo, and the circus are the only rap albums from this year I have found my self revisiting
