The first fight was a classic and the scoring was a bit fishy but I did have Canelo just winning 7-5.

I think Canelo wins Saturday night on points. I can't see him KOing GGG unless he keeps going to the body.

GGG needs to keep backing Canelo into the ropes because that's where he had success in the first fight.

    50/50 fight.

GGG won the first fight and he'll win this one.

Oh, and as far as the fight goes, Canelo is clearly slimming down in order to keep a constant workrate this time around. I thought he landed the bigger shots in the first fight even if GGG did win more rounds by way of consistent pressure and output. Canelo has never been a slick guy who can skate along the outside and jab/counter, but that's got to be the plan here. He couldn't take his head off, and if GGG can't stop him this time around, Canelo will probably win on the cards again whether he deserves it or not.

I'm personally rooting for Canelo. This sport eats the old for a reason. Hope he makes the right adjustments and makes a statement here.

Canelo trying to get inside GGG head with that head but.
Canelo is too slick to get clobbered by GGG. Like most people are saying Canelo needs to go to the body to hurt GGG.

I always get mad nervous during the ring walks.

Not a boxing fan and didn't even see the first fight, but wow that was amazing. I originally thought GGG won but thinking back about it, Canelo dominated more of the early rounds and GGG dominated the later rounds so I suppose it's fair either way.

Just glad it wasn't a draw like the first time, wonder if they do a part 3? I'd definitely watch if so, that was real good.

I did think GGG easily won that last round...so kinda confusing, but then again I don't get boxing I guess.

So Canelo's stamina in the first was really a problem with fighting off the ropes and off the back foot. Clearly more comfortable this time around not ceding ground and didn't lose pace like before. Body work and uppercut were money in the bank.

GGG's jab and his mobility were his upperhands. He could shift between punches whereas Canelo would find distance, plant his feet, and swing a combination that usually ended with a whiff or two. Nice to see him go back to more of his amateur style when faced with a guy he couldn't break or scare off this time around.

Overall, great fight. Great fighters. The a-side wins on the cards in this sport. Not surprised. Wasn't a robbery.

Don't get me wrong, I was rooting for Canelo but seeing his head snap back during the fight reminded me of the Mayweather fight. And I feared that Canelo had lost at the last bell. I was surprised when he got the Win.
Nobody is knocking out GGG at 160lbs. The man is a machine but tonight could not finish off Canelo to get a clear victory. Canelo is the new Mayweather in Vegas. Unless you flatten him you're not getting the W.

Would I want to see a 3rd fight? Not straight away. Canelo wants to fight in December and Lemieux is easy fight for him. GGG needs a tune up fight to shake off the loss then fight Billy Joe Saunders or Andrade for the WBO. This would set up a nice 3rd fight for Canelo to get all the belts. Jacobs, Charlo and Hurd would all get smoked by Canelo so would Spence Jr.

It's definitely a contender for fight of the year. So far my top 3 are...
    1. Vasyl Lomachenko vs Jorge Linares
    2. Josh Warrington vs Lee Selby
    3. Canelo vs GGG 2
    All classic fights.

Nobody had as contentious fights with Mayweather as Trout, Lara, and GGG have had with Canelo. Well, besides Castillo but that was before he had the clout to do that stuff.

I'd say GGG-Canelo II is far and away the best fight of the year. Lara-Hurd is in second.
