Jul 12, 2018 this is f---ing big news. Marcelo to f---ing Juventus. I don't quite understand why Juventus would do this though. Sandro is much better defensively (frankly as good as Marcelo is going forward, anyone can dribble past him) and they already have Douglas costa on the left wing. Marcelo worked at Madrid because they had Casemiro/Kovacic playing holding mid and Ronaldo not out wide but in and out of the box. So Marcelo had freedom, space and cover. Juventus' defense also isn't as good as Madrid's and Madrid conceded a s--- ton of goals due to counters out wide. They can play Marcelo as a winger in a 4-4-2 ahead of Sandro though. But you are losing the raw pace and energy you get from Costa.
