Am I alone in the idea that a LOT of cats are not very nice, or as nice as people make them out to be? This goes back to a convo @Narsh saw me have on Facebook.

Folk were literally arguing with me about how "NICE" Fabolous and Cassidy were.

    In 2015.

    :kanye:

I felt like I'd time traveled back to 2001.

Like are you serious? Fabolous, aka "I dig it like a shovel" (Real line)
and Cassidy: "I got bars like cell phone reception" (Real line)

    ..are NICE?

    :stephena2:

In this current battle rap era of face scrunching, mindblowing wordplay, we're still putting trash on a pedestal? Neither one of those dudes have spit A bar better than anything they spit here in 10 years.

    :ray:

(Btw Cassidy got washed horribly on this)

Cassidy and Fab are way passed their prime, but punchline artists always have duds. More as filler or just as a result of finding it in the rhyme scheme. Writing wordplay organically is just a slow process. Not many rappers who rely on it maintained it well for even a full album. Jadakiss Syndrome. Lil Wayne's decline. Em's decline.

Being a punchline artist is just outdated.
