It feels like the current would be leaders of this generation are dead. If you look back for example Eminem got on. Then she did d12,Obie 50. 50 dropped the biggest debut rap album. He put g-unit on. From Eminem it branched. But the current generation didn’t have a chance to branch.

witch makes this a interesting year for hip hop if rumors lead to reality. Rumors of Eminem, 50 cent , jay z, j cole, Weezy, snoop ect dudes coming out to play ball. Or so we hope. You got a lot of goats that kind of need to make dope albums.

I think Young Money is the last major Dynasty in Hiphop. I may be missing someone, but we never having another run like Em & 50 or Drake and Wayne & Nicki. Thier dominance is hard to replicate

I feel like TDE had potential to have a far better run than they did . Not saying they didn’t have a good one . But no black hippy album? The k.dot/j. Cole scrapped album. They could of done more IMO

Harder to pinpoint large artists/movements as everything is so easily accessible nowadays so people can look for things they like, instead of only relying on things like tv, radio and magazines back in the day giving artists their exposure/spotlight.

Schoolboy had some decently big singles. Jay rock was on a decent come up. Signed to strange, Wayne collab, dr.dre co sign. Then it went all eyes on Kendrick. As to why they should have done a black hippy album.
