If they weren't around people would speed more, therefore more accidents are bound to happen so yes.

You're just s-----y you got your fine. The positioning of them i disagree with. A lot of them aren't in high accident spots they're in spots designed to get fines. Like at the bottom of a hill where the laws of f---in physics are obviously going to make you go quicker.

No. They can actually cause more accidents by people slamming on their brakes when the light turns yellow to avoid getting a ticket. It's a cash grab. They did it by me for a few years and luckily got rid of it

Well I was going the normal speed limit but I was driving through roadworks that only went for about 20-30m, no one was on site except for the police that were kinda hidden behind a bush. I usually slow down for but I kinda had my minds on other things :emoji_slight_frown:

They're not though. All lights are different, some are yellow a little longer so they get paranoid and make a split second decision.

The study's findings, published by the Chicago Tribune Friday, found that while traffic cameras appeared to reduce injuries by 15% for collisions at right angles, where one car crashes head-on into the side of another car, those improvements were overshadowed by a 22% increase in injuries from rear-end accidents. Taken together, the study shows a statistically insignificant increase of injuries by 5%.

No. But if everyone followed every single law there'd be no accidents at all

Thought this was about red light cameras, speed cameras are worse though...They were all over DC when I went last year. They like to change the speed limit right before you drive by them. Never seen them anywhere around where I live. Can't wait for Self Driving Cars so I can concentrate on more important things like nailing that Bieber solo when singing in my car

Well numbers don't lie and statistics show there's been f--- all change so far and we've been speed trapping people since cars have been around
