I see it get a bit of hate around here, is it the actual music you dislike or the fans that come with it that you dislike? That's if you fit in the category of disliking it. Personally I do like a lot of artists that would be classified as "real" hip hop, however consider myself open minded and do quite enjoy a lot of the new school artists as well.

Where are you at with it? I feel like there's a little bit of reel vs. new skool beef every now and then here.

I dislike traditional rap yes where the rappers just rap and are lyrical and have RnB singers to feature and do hooks while they just rap verses that are lyrical and sound hardcore. So pretty much any rapper that just raps and is lyrical. I really hate this type of rap can not stand it at all

I enjoy melodic hip hop where the rapper sings not only on hooks but also on verses and bridges and many times on the entire song from start to finish. Combines Pop and Hip Hop together. Has a lot of emotion, melodies and harmonies. Does both singing and rapping over Pop or Trap production

So i listen to and enjoy this style of Melodic 'Hip-Hop' from these Artists

    Eminem
    50 Cent
    Z-Ro
    Rich Homie Quan
    B.o.B
    Max B
    Young Thug
    Drake
    Devin The Dude
    Fetty Wap
    Bone Thugs
    Nelly
    Future
    Kid Cudi
    Ty Dollar Sign
    Travis Scott
    Kevin Gates
    Dej Loaf
    Nicki Minaj
    YG
    Wiz Khalifa

I like "real rap"/traditional/whatever rap. I don't even mind the fans who simply prefer it & go on with their day.

It's the close-minded "real rap" elitists that i find cringey af, the ones that think thats the only quality rap style in existence, that obnoxiously boast of how everything else is talentless trash.

The 'real hiphop' label is dumb. I like both 'old school' and 'new school' or whatever people call it tho

In my book, there's no such a thing like real hip-hop. There is only good or bad music. Isn't it more simple than your unnecessary labelling?

    "Real hip-hop" isn't even a subgenre.

I agree with this - but at the same time, fans of modern rap who completely disregard more conventional rap are equally as bad/cringeworthy.
