    You say this but how does a cat know what cleaning is? Does it not think that by burying its litter the disposal process is over?? why would a cat need to understand a higher level human act like further cleaning of soil

    Cleaning in the sense of I need to take this buried s--- and put it in a garbage because I can't keep using this same square of litter forever

    My cat always tries to come s--- while I’m cleaning his box, he thinks it’s a game or something

    The other 2 cats know though. And they thank me for it each day
