Drake achieved yet another impressive career milestone, and this one may further solidify his place as the absolutely legendary musician he continues to evolve into.

Most recently, the list of contenders for this year's American Music Awards were announced, putting Drake in the lead with a record-breaking amount of nominations.

The rapper is impressively nominated with 13 different awards, breaking the previous record held by Michael Jackson. In 1984, the iconic singer was nominated for 11 different awards, holding that record for just over three decades.

Of the different categories, Drizzy is up for Artist of the Year, along with Rihanna, The Weeknd and Beyoncé.

RiRi snagged seven nominations herself, including a couple for her collaboration with Drake with their track "Work" being nominated for both Collaboration of the Year and Video of the year.

Check out the full list of nominations here.

Drake has an incredible talent for finding and maintaining popularity. All things considered, in just a few years he’s had more chart success than any other rapper in hip hop history. And on top of that, he’s also a great rapper.
he probably won’t make as much money as Jay Z and Dr. Dre have. But after views I have no doubt Drake may end up being the most successful artist ever.

Let's not unerestimate pac's popopularity. He appealed to a wide range of audiences. He's probably one of the very first rappers to fuse public enemy's politics with snoop's criminal elements at a time when no one was doing that.

You can't really compare nwa to pac. With each passing year, his legacy and goat status only grow stronger, dude is a literary idol and his music is still relevant today.

    Got the Billboard melodies
Rap is somethin' I do on the side
Crossed over to the other side
And I didn't even have to die
Got the money and I never show it
Let a n----- try to play heroic
Michael Jackson talkin' to me in my dreams
And he say, "You bad and you know it"

He already is...but you can't compare his success to Eminem's, it was easier to sell records in 99/2000

Lmao. Eminem sold more than Drake in 2010s. Drake is not even bigger than taylor swift and justin bieber.
