Apr 20, 2021 Not everyone’s favorite DMX album. But having some songs go to the cradle 2 the grave soundtrack is what caused it not to be. go to sleep ft. Eminem X gon’ give it to ya Right/wrong First I’m gonna crowl (even though it wasn’t on the soundtrack it was in the movie) Where the hood at, x gon’ give it to ya, go to sleep.... ARE f---ing ANTHEMs.dogs out, get it on the floor, shot down, rob all night... this could of been one of the hardest albums ever.
Apr 20, 2021 I think Go To Sleep is a little too em-centric to be on the album but the other 3 would definitely raise up Grand Champ alot quality wise.
Apr 20, 2021 having both Eminem and 50 on the album back then would have been so hyped though. I mean you’re not wrong it was em centric. But I felt that about renegade and had no complaints of it being on the blueprint

Apr 20, 2021 in my recent relisten it was probably the weakest of his 5-album run. Thats not to say its bad at all, its just clearly got A&R fingerprints all over it and feels bloated and all over the place. That being said Shot Down is a stone cold classic, that must be one of the coldest guest features 50 ever did.
Apr 20, 2021 also agree Go To Sleep wouldn't have fit, but Right/Wrong would definitely could have replaced one of the lesser tracks. Same for And X Gon' Give It To Ya, rather than just being a bonus cut tacked on at the end
Apr 20, 2021 It's a great album but it does feel much more manufactured and xommercial than the previous 4. Not to say it's a bad album though but I get where your coming from. Hard pass on Go To Sleep on the album though.
