Looking to buy a pair of headphones as I've never really invested properly in some, but have no idea which ones are the best value for money

Heard mixed views on Beats and don't wanna spend more than £100 ideally

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. need to get the most outta this new Kendrick

got mine from amazon for 120 like two years ago and they sound so crisp. the original ear cushion things kinda give you a headache after like 2 or 3 hours though so i bought some better ones that interchange with it from mass drop, but they are definitely worth every pretty penny once you make the jump

I recommend you wait until cyber Monday and cop a nice, expensive pair for reasonable price. I spent like $150 on my Sennheiser HD 599s. They're normally $250. My first pair of open back headphones. Gives you more separation in the instrumentation and a wider sound stage. Also lets in ambient noise by design so not ideal for public places, but I only rock ear buds in public anyway.

Typical standard recs are ATH-M50xs and AKG K 240s. Make sure to get something bass heavy if you listen to mainly rap. Having a pair with a flatter frequency response is nice because you hear stuff more accurately, but you will notice how much you miss out on bass.

definitely can cosign the hd 599s as those as my first and only pair of opens as well. also prolly won't buy anymore of those but the cord that connects it into my laptop is super long so i had to tape that to make it shorter lol

If you listen to mostly rap get the audio technica m50x. They're a great pair of beginner premium headphobes and you can get a pair for that price.

If you listen to multiple genres I'd go with a pair of openback headphones. You can get a pair from audio technica for ~€100. If you're willing to spend more beyerdynamic dt900 are a great pair of headphones. I have these and the m50x and these are by far the better pair of headphones.

Have a look at Sennheiser RS120
    https://www.bestadvisers.co.uk/headphones-for-tv
I have used Sennheiser before, in fact still do. Have never been disappointed and recommended them to many friends.
If you are after professional studio headphones, you are in the wrong place. But for the price, the practicality and the sound quality for home use, they are off the scale.
