Nov 21, 2015 I just listened to Groundhog Day and I forgot how d--- good that was. It's a shame that and Don't Front didn't end up on the original album. This song tells a great story with amazing rhymes and a great flow. If only he could perform like this consistently.
Dec 16, 2015 That's because you have everything backwards. You're dipping your soup inside your crackers.
Dec 16, 2015 It's my taste i can't stand this type of song I like substance, emotion, hooks, melodies, message I understand not everything has to be deep and emotional but then i will actually listen to great songs like So Bad, The Real Slim Shady, Without Me, Brainless, Baby, Criminal. Eminem's hooks on songs like Drama Setter, Welcome To D Block, Lady etc Groundhog Day just bores me
Dec 16, 2015 False this song doesn't have a hook but i like it even though i'm a hook addict and a hooks person
Dec 16, 2015 @StarNizzaveli what's your favorite Eminem album since his comeback? I assume you don't like Relapse at all because it lacks any depth and emotion. But then again it has nice hooks...
Dec 16, 2015 That's the thing Relapse has classic hooks. But the rest of the album just isn't for me it's not even just about emotion it's as simple as i just do not like Horrorcore rap and i didn't like the accent either. I felt he was trying too hard too be lyrical to the extent he was even bending words to make them rhyme that's not Eminem he's better than that forget me liking the emotional, melodic, deep Eminem Eminem for a sec. I do respect him as an MC too but not where he has to bend words to make them rhyme. Also the production was way too simple and bland I love Get Rich Or Die Tryin there was not many emotional songs besides 1 or 2 on there it is just a Gangsta Rap album. I just find Gangsta Rap appealing even though i do look for substance first. While Horrorcore it just is not appealing to me My fave is MMLP 2 i loved Recovery too my only issue with Recovery is the production
Dec 16, 2015 It's not that he has to, he wanted to because he wanted to do something different. He already proved he can rhyme regular words, he said it in interviews he's bored with the English language. But if you don't like horrorcore rap and prefer substance and meaning, then you don't like SSLP? Eminem is primarily something along the lines of horrorcore, and meaningful, inspirational songs are not his priority (at least in his prime). Sure, he's at his best when he focuses on a subject and speaks his mind, but that's not as often as shock-value horrorcore raps he did. I feel like you focus on a part of his music that's not a priority to him and expect that of him when he's not about that.
Dec 16, 2015 I mean he has over a 100 deep songs that is alot i mean he himself said it is a priority in numerous interviews
Dec 16, 2015 Maybe recently, but he didn't start out as a meaningful, inspirational rapper (not counting Infinite)
Dec 16, 2015 I don't disagree with that But s--- someone who works as a Lawyer didn't always start out at 1 they worked at Subway at first Life is about progress
Dec 16, 2015 True, things change, but I wouldn't compare early Eminem to a Subway worker and current Eminem to a lawyer.
Dec 16, 2015 It comes down to taste I became an Eminem fan like a hardcore fan due to The Eminem Show when i first heard Hailie's Song i was so amazed i was like god d--- I found with that album the hooks would stay stuck in my head that is my fave aspect of his music but i don't as a fan wanna be short changed with an Artist like him he can deliver the entire package with him u get catchy hooks, great verses, great production, emotions, great melodies, great flow, great lyrics, great delivery He is the Messi of music the entire package just someone who is so well rounded
