From time is the seventh track from Drake's 'Nothing was the same'. It's my favourite Drake song up to date. This song gives off smooth and slow vibes, accompanied by a lite piano during which Drake adresses his past relationships with women, his parents, as well as his career. The song kicks off with Jhene Aiko's beautiful voice :
"What's up ? Been a minute since we kicked it, you been caught up"

Shortly after that, Drake delivers a decent verse.

"I like when money makes a difference, but don't make you different,
Started realizin a couple of places I could take it,
I wanna get back to when I was that kid in the basement,
I wanna take it deeper than money, p----, vacation
And influence a generation that's lackin patience,
I been dealin with my dad, speaking of lack of patience,
Just me and my old man getting back to basics,
We been talkin bout the future and time that we wasted"

"My mother is 66 and her favourite line to hit me with is,
Who the f--- wants to be seventy and alone ?"

The second verse is accompanied by an increase in intensity in the beat and melody which adds excitement to the whole song. Favorite lines :

"Cuz that night I played her three songs,
Than she started tellin me I'll never be as big as Trey Songz
Boy, was she wrong, that was just negative energy for me to feed off"

"Learnin the true consequenses of my selfish decisions,
When you find out how Im livin, I just hope I'm forgiven"

The song ends with Aiko singing the outro. All in all a song I really enjoy. He should be doing more of these.

    Great song.

Songs like this just exemplify how trivial the problems in Drake's life are lol. I mean that in a good way though, it's easy to relate to his music because the way he raps about relationships is only surface deep. So his music is almost like a blanket that you can put over just about any relationship. Songs like this is probably why he's so popular with females and lite skins.

The 2nd verse is one of the best on the album. That 40 influence is so strong in the last half of the song.

I said Since it dropped that from time is the best song on NWTS and is one of my favorite drake tracks. Nonetheless one of my favorite songs in general. Drake and Jhene > anything he ever did with Rihanna the need to collab more.
