Feb 9, 2024 Kanye West has name-dropped Diddy, R. Kelly, Taylor Swift and more on his new album Vultures Volume 1. Ye hosted a listening party at the United Center in Chicago on Thursday night (February 8) where he debuted his first of three collaborative projects with Ty Dolla $ign. The pair played over a dozen new songs during the show, including “Carnival” featuring Playboi Carti and Rich The Kid. On the track, Kanye West mentions R. Kelly, Bill Cosby, Diddy, Taylor Swift, Jesus Christ, Kris Jenner and Chris Brown, along with the Me Too movement. Now I’m Ye Kelly, b----/ Now I’m Bill Cosby, b----/ Now I’m Puff Daddy rich/ That’s Me Too rich,” he raps. He continues: “I mean since Taylor Swift, since I had a Rollie on the wrist/ I’m the new Jesus, b----/ I turned water into Kris/ This for what they did to Chris/ They can’t do s--- with this. https://t.co/nxu4FagBnR Kanye West also addresses his antisemitism controversy on Vultures Volume 1 with the same defiance as he did on the previously released title track. On the final song played during the Chicago show — and potential album closer — “The King,” he rapped: “And I’m still crazy, bipolar, antisemite… and I’m still the king.” Ye previously stirred controversy by spitting: “How can I be antisemitic? I just f----- a Jewish b----” on the single “Vultures” which dropped in November. https://t.co/K8GmKGiFKy ¥$ – Vultures, Vol. 1 1. In The Stars 2. Timbo Freestyle (feat. India Love) 3. Paid (feat. Feb 9, 2024 Karma's a b----. He's struggling to get stadiums. He's struggling to get sample clearances. His ego is so f---ing big that he doesn't believe he needs anyone's help who doesn't sheepishly follow his buillshit. It is slightly ironic though (or more maybe a reflection of the times), that em could blast gay people, have a song about killing his mother chart, and openly blast pretty much anyone (albeit in jest), without such repercussions....clearly he upset the wrong people.
Feb 9, 2024 Crazy how Taylor swift is now the biggest artist on the planet and Ye is clowned and forgotten. A lot can happen in just 5 years. Wild
Feb 9, 2024 Em got just as much backlash and criticism. What are you talking about? Em was like the most hated celebrity for his lyrics for years. His fandom just kept him up.
Feb 9, 2024 I think it’s cos Em was making good music then & dropping when he announced Kanye barely releases anything he announces now & when he does it’s unfinished garbage the majority of the time, insane to think there’s some nefarious conspiracy at play in regards to him. If anything it’s the other way around, if he wasn’t still profitable he would’ve been blackballed properly.
Feb 9, 2024 Yeah but ye lost everything, it's not the same man. He's done. It don't matter how fire his music is...can't get a proper tour from his behaviour, distributors don't want him, adidas dropped him, songs can't clear .. he will be legit broke in 5 years. Especially given he has no f---ing idea how finances work. Ideas don't mean f---ing s--- without support of people. Karma will always win.
Feb 11, 2024 You think based on his current popularity he shouldn’t be able to book medium-sized arenas for shows?
