    Apart from absolutely fathering his style Makonnen has it down way tighter and more refined
    I think yachty has higher highs but he's so hit n miss and a bit grating sometimes makonnen has a myriad of perfect records and is consistent af I hate drake for making him feel like a one hit wonder rather than letting him have a organic come up


    Not a hate thread btw I really really love yachty ss2 was just patchy to me

    I feel like yachty isn't quite in the same boat (no pun intended) as Makonnen but they're pretty equal in quality imo (especially when you get into deeper cuts and not just the tapes, swear that comp @Tarvis Scatt made is all I listen to.)

    I can see Makonnen being considered better for having more good songs (due to longer career) and making a new wave but we just gotta give Yachty some time.

    Makonnen fell off. ILMEP and DMW3 and 4 classics but after that he fell off.
