Feb 21, 2018 I work at a big comic retailer and I can tell you this is def not the case, sadly. Reboots and relaunches shift the most units by a ludicrous margin. If Marvel/DC/whoever ever feel like their profit margins are stagnating, they just slap a #1 on the cover of their comics and the orders f---ing skyrocket. You can bet they're gonna keep doing this s--- every other year for as long as gullible consumerists keep buying into it.
