Jul 1, 2021 How did I miss this? Did @joeyp363 just actually put me on something? Weird. This is dope. I’ve never really had a track where my two favorite rappers collab, so to get Nas and Freddie together is pretty dope. Nas never really lost his sound/inflection; kind of incredible. The hook is vintage. I only know a couple Cordae songs (RNP with Anderson Paak is great) but I dug him on this. Freddie goated per usual. Flows unmatched. What a nice surprise.
Jul 1, 2021 Thanks for asking. I actually have, but not as much as I usually do. Here are what I’ve been impressed by for the first half of the year. NF’s Clouds album was top tier AOTY Tech N9nes two singles have been fire Anything with Yela’s name on it has been flame sauce Scatter brain song was hott New Tenet bonus tracks are other worldly Some tracks off the Czarface album were awesome, pretty much any verse that wasn’t DOOM. Guy sounded horrible tbh. Apathy’s new album had some stellar cuts and overall a classic. Joyhauser’s new music this year is some tight s--- Rittz “Keep it like that” track feat Vinnie Paz is bombastic Godemis’ verse on “Caroline and Kerosene is untouchable. Anything by Hopsin this year is unreal. Everything he touched he shines. His features and singles have been bonkers. Arguably the best rapper out right now. Logic’s secret album under the name Doc D called Planetary Destruction is a close second as AOTY for me. Doom Eternal’s expansion soundtrack is also mind bending. Benny’s great (but old) verse on formaldehyde is something else. Eminem’s Killer Remix is his best verse since Revival imo.
