Don't know who likes them here, but why not. Do you guys think they'll drop anything soon? What'd you think of their newest album?

Black Market was ehh. Endgame used the same formula every song. Rise Against for me was more of a stepping stone, if you want to see what Rise Against always tried to be jam some Black Flag, they're some of the f---in OGs.

Sufferer and The Witness was my s--- back in the day, and I still enjoy everything up until Black Market but I still don't think they hold up to their contemporaries.

The political edge to their stuff hasn't aged well, but the angst ridden teenager in me is still a fan.

Black Flag was their contemporary? Lol

Sufferer and The Witness was amazing

I hope they can go back to that kind of stuff when they finally drop an album again

Nah those were meant to be two seperate statements. Like black flag is their direct inspiration McIlrath said so himself, with the second statement being that even judging them by other current musicians in the same lane, they still are just ok.

The aforementioned Black Flag. At The Drive In. FIDLAR and Suicidal Tendencies if after a while Black Flag isn't going hard enough for you. I'm more of a hardcore guy like Title Fight and Citizen.

Well FIDLAR is the side project of Wavves so they're contemporary. Ty Segall comes to mind. Millions Of Dead Cops have been around for a minute but they're still dropping s--- now. Obama Nation is a good local group out of Houston.

I probably won't be of too much help because most of that punk-lite music that can be considered similar to Rise Against bores me, and I'm still somewhat at an entry-level awareness of the genre myself.

Also, The Bronx and their side project El Bronx Mariachi are the most interesting musicians I've heard associated to the modern hardcore and punk scene in a minute @Charlie
