    They were buzzing a few years ago independently, it seemed like they were poised to be one of the next acts to break out of NYC. But they sort of hit a ceiling. I saw Dyme-A-Duzin (former member of Phony Ppl) open for Action Bronson back in 2011 but I never got into his or Phony's music.

    Phonyland was dope. I haven't heard anything outside of this release - but didn't they break up?

    After listening to a few tracks, they're pretty dope. They're real lean back, though, back I think they can manage. Also like the fact that they have a song called "I Wish I Was A Chair"



    I checked their bandcamp and they have two more projects (EP and full length album), and they released an album last year called Yesterday's Tomorrow
