    In an article with the NY times, Kanye pulled out a picture of The[​IMG] Saint Laurent Store in Chicago last year after it was robbed and said he may use it as the cover of an upcoming single[​IMG] in an attempt to get back at Hedi Slimane.

    no idea if any of whats in the OP is true, but just saying that posting a picture of a high end place in Chiraq being broken into seems less of a "Fashion statement" and more of the same sentiments he expresses on tracks like "New slaves" or "black skinhead"

    He compared the college dropout's message of him wanting to be a rapper to the making of this album of him wanting to be a fashion designer.

    That initially worried me.

    But you're right. It could be similar to new slaves and be GOAT. But then again, he said this album would be "cookout music"

    what he always means by being a "fashion designer" is quite literally just being allowed to be as expressive and creative as he wishes, in any medium, without any restrictions. which is a nobel cause imo.

    and which is why i think this album will be some next level s---.

    edit: not saying he doesn't have a real desire to create clothes or fashion lines or anything. he does. and thats whatever (he has reasons for that too), but im just commenting on the reasoning behind him saying this album is derived from his desire to break into fashion. its more about that desire than the actual act of being a fashion designer. Yeezus was a product of the frustration that first stemmed from trying to attain that goal

    I personally think it would be a dumb cover. He's getting back at Slimane for not letting him go to a fashion show. It's in the article.

    Well it's artwork for either Piss On Your Grave "this one's for all the executives, f--- you and your relatives" or was potential artwork for All Day since this interview was done before All Day dropped
