It's only a matter of time before the world recognizes Thugger as the GOAT.

By far the dumbest comparison I've seen.

17 pages of another Stanley coming in refusing to believe a mainstream black rapper whose been on the radio can rap harder than Marshall "d-ck in a circle" mathers and then getting proven wrong lmao

So he can rap harder than Em because he's been on the radio? I can flip that too. People still think Young "Juwanna Mann penis smoking baby-tight p---- loving" Thug can outrap one of the GOATs

No my point was that because he's been on the radio for his more pop oriented hits such as lifestyle, people tend to discredit him as nothing more than that whenever he has like 300 songs under his belt, at least 75 of which show off some pretty good technical rapping abilities.

He's way more than a pop rapper but at the same time you have to have more than just technical rapping abilities to be one of the best. Yes he has a great flow and cadence yes he has a great ear for beats but what else does he have? I feel like the Young Thug fanatics on here overlook his flaws and are falling in love with his potential instead of what he actually is.

Idk if people are trolling or are serious when they say things like he's a better rapper than Em but he really isn't if we're talking about totality. You can say he makes more enjoyable music but a better rapper? h--- naw

I love how all young thug based threads consist of thug fans being open minded and accepting all POVs and generally showing people that Thug isn't the one dimensional hit machine they think he is, and then there's the opposition who just absolutely cannot fathom that people would like different things than them. In all seriousness, thug uses wordplay, metaphors, alliteration, and many other literary devices splendidly. Maybe if you compare bar for bar thug falls short against eminem, even pitting thugs most lyrical songs, but thug has literally dozens if not hundreds of different flows while eminem takes 3 years to transition from one awful delivery to another. Thugs pop songs are invigorating and slightly off kilter, whereas eminems recent radio pop ballads sound are the same d--- "I'm such a good person for not being a dysfunctional addict" tune he's been doing since cleaning out my closet, only significantly less grounded in hip hop than anything thug has done.

That's as an unfair generalization as the Young Thug pop rapper generalization

His radio material hasn't all been "marshalls 12 steps to being a better man"? Ltwyl pt 1 and 2, not afraid, and... Well I guess rap God doesn't count.

But yeah, eminems defining trait as of late has been pausing while he's rapping, which you may recognize as the exact opposite of having a good flow. I know I know about him matching the drums n whatever and that's a cute concept but in practice it's an objectively poor attempt at rapping

See this is what I'm talking about. I agree with alliteration but splendid wordplay? Splendid metaphors? Just because he attempts these things don't make them good. I've heard many of his songs and almost all of his attempts are just bad. In the process of trying to be open-minded, I think yall give rappers like Young Thug more favor subconsciously and criticize rappers like Eminem way more harshly. Talk about Young Thug's flaws like yall talk about Em's flaws

Is it a poor attempt or, like Young Thug, is it a little different than what you are used to hearing? I don't like his robotic flow either but is it bad really because we aren't used to hearing it? If it's bad because of preference then it isn't objectively bad. And you are unfairly generalizing Em's radio material again. Let's talk about both of their songs, not just Young Thug's thousands of songs and Em's radio stuff
