Dec 5, 2015 Hey, So after scrapping Relapse 2, Eminem dissed Relapse twice in Recovery. In Not Afraid: Let's be honest, that last Relapse CD was “ehhhh” Perhaps I ran them accents into the ground Relax, I ain't going back to that now In Cinderella Man: f--- my last CD, the s---'s in my trash and later in Shady XV - Guts over fear: But I rather make “Not Afraid 2” Than make another motherfuckin' “We Made You” and in a NY times 2015 interview: Do you feel like you’ve had a lull in your career? Eminem : Oh, me? For sure. Probably the “Encore” days. Personally, I look at “Relapse” as a lull. The rest is subject to opinion. However, the story has two sides... In Bad Meets Evil - The Reunion, Eminem said: While I bump that Relapse CD,trying to hit every bump And that c----thought I snapped back into that accent Cause she kept asking me to quit calling her c---- I said I c----, she said, Marshall Which does mean Eminem still listens to the album and love it, maybe. *bump relapse* .. Then Eminem been interviewed by complex: Speaking of making it cool to be lyrical, you talked about Odd Future to MTV recently. You know those dudes love Relapse. Like, love it. On some, one of their favorite albums ever. E: That’s dope. So they wouldn’t snap the CD in half [like the girl on “The Reunion”]. Basically. And they’ve kind of talked it up enough that it feels like public opinion of the album has been revisited. It’s funny— E: The irony of it, that some people actually like it? [Laughs.] No, not that some people actually liked it! [Laughs.] It’s just that you’ve been very openly self-critical of that album— E: I mean, listen, I don’t hate Relapse. I don’t hate it at all, but when I’m looking back at an album I do have a tendency, and especially with that album, to run things into the ground. That was one of those instances where I got in a zone, like, “Yo I just want to be this demented serial killer on this album.” And part of that was a growing process to get to Recovery, working through those steps, relearning how to rap, and relearning where I need to be at. ------------------------- So Eminem was amazed that some people like Tyler the creator loved the album (and then shouted him out in Wicked ways, which liking Relapse definitely is the reason in my humble opinion). Thats 100% sign of Eminem being conscious about the album. and possibly just saying he hates it because of the critics. Also, another evidence, In Rap City 2013 interview, he talked about Relapse (2:57) : He seemed uncomfortable talking about this album, he said it was interesting, and he had fun times recording it (doesn't it mean he still loved it ? ) .. That been said, I want to know your opinions. Questions: 1- Do you think Eminem secretly loves Relapse ? 2- If yes, then why does he hides it and pretend to hate it ? 3- Do you wish Eminem never dropped Relapse ?
Dec 5, 2015 1- Do you think Eminem secretly loves Relapse ? Not loves but I guess he doesn't hate it. I guess it's one of them albums hes like.. aye that exists, I could of done better. (he says that later in the video) 2- If yes, then why does he hides it and pretend to hate it ? Nah 3- Do you wish Eminem never dropped Relapse ? Nah
Dec 5, 2015 Yes he does love relapse because that's the only concept album(except for Encore) he has ever made. Hate on Relapse all you want but at least he tried something different instead of going back to his old formula.
Dec 5, 2015 He clearly doesn't love it. On wax he openly mocks it, The Reunion isn't a positive for the album, he's using it to torture a passenger in than song. In interviews he's more balanced but the feeling is there. It was a "get back on the horse" album, and was always described as such.
Dec 5, 2015 But also he said in the same song : You fat dyke, I'm trying to hear some Bagpipes from Baghdad Don't act like you don't like them, them accents, I rap tight
Dec 5, 2015 I think he doesn't love or hate Relapse but he just knows it's his most unlistenable album, maybe he was wishing he'd done it without accents which would've been a classic. I wish he never dropped it or it was without accents.
Dec 6, 2015 I hate how broken your English is. And not because it's annoying as f--- to read, I get that this is an international forum with people from countries that don't have English as their primary language, but because it leads to you misinterpreting things which causes you to make stupid s--- like this. How does openly dissing something mean you like it? How does that even make sense? When he says he doesn't hate the album in the interview, you completely ignore the next few sentences where he says that there are some overused aspects in it and he doesn't day anything positive about it either. Just because someone doesn't hate something it doesn't mean that they have to particularly like it either. Only a sith deals in absolutes. Just because he enjoyed making it doesn't mean that he loves the final product. People do terrible s--- all the time that they enjoy but hate the end result of So yeah. Tldr you're dumb
Dec 6, 2015 Lol I'm just so angry today. But for real I just got tired of his broken English threads reaching to unbelievable levels. I get that there's nothing to talk about with eminem recently and he's at least not (usually) recycling old threads at least, but it's still annoying
