Cavs make a trade surrounding Love for PG and then both Lebron and PG dip for the Lakers after next year. Could see the Pacers just taking the 3 years of Love instead of losing PG for nothing or the 3 team deal where maybe Love goes back to Minnesota for #7 and Dunn and some other pieces in there to match salaries.

Those are the only moves I see possible for the Pacers, nobody else is giving up significant assets for 1 year of Paul George. Also the Cavs have to be in desperation mode now to get Lebron to stay after next year and I think Love is the trade chip and an expiring Paul George is the best they can do.

Honestly don't rule out Westbrook to the Lakers as well, OKC can't afford to lose him like they did Durant. If the Lakers threw Ingram, Russell, #2, Randle + picks 4-5 years down the line and OKC thought Russ was gonna walk they'd have to consider it. Russ would be taking a huge pay cut, but I think he wants to win and despite bashing KD hes for sure bitter about him winning.

I'm just throwing s--- against the wall there, but if OKC loses Durant and Westbrook for NOTHING then you gotta close up shop and maybe send the franchise back to Seattle. I rule nothing out in this new era of the NBA, the Eastern Conference could be in shambles by the time the 18-19 season starts. The WCF would be the new finals.

I'm with you on the potential 3 team deal involving Love going somewhere besides Indy. He doesn't make them a playoff contender or a bottom feeder. If there's one thing you don't want be in the NBA it's a treadmill team teetering between the 7th-10th seed (unless you're up and coming like Milwaukee for example).

I do think he sticks around in Cleveland if he lands there, where else can he find a core like Kyrie & LeBron? Going to the Lakers and trying to return them to glory sounds great in theory, but there'd be some certainty to being in Cleveland with those 2.

Westbrook to LA is probably more realistic than PG. OKC can offer him ridiculous money and they showed with Harden/Ibaka/Reggie Jackson they will always offload players as soon as they creep towards the luxury tax. it's a d--- shame the Sonics got sold to these cheap a--- OKC owners.

Then again, if LA manages to get Russ, maybe PG says f--- it even if he's in Cleveland. Bron will be nearing the end of his prime, maybe he'd be better off trying his luck in LA with Westbrook rather than Kyrie.

The 1st domino in all of this will be OKC offering Russ the super max and if he accepts it or not.

Depends if they are good enough to win. Lebron is due to regress at some point and if its not good enough next year then it won't be going forward. Lakers could make room for Russ, Lebron and Paul George to all come in the same year, 2 of those 3 are from LA anyways. If they bring them all in through free agency then they use a few of their young guys to dump the bad contracts. Clarkson can be moved easily but Dung and Mozgov will be tougher, might have to attach a Zubac or Randle to get rid of just one of them. The Nets might take Mozgov off their hands for #28 and maybe a 2nd. After that they don't have a first rounder to trade until 2020, so you'd have to give away a young player to get a team to take Dung.

Deng and Mozgov were such bad signings...especially the 4 years part. Could have dealt with that on a 2 year deal or something.

So CP3 gotta leave LA now if he wants to win unless LA flips Blake for someone better

And they rushed to get them done, wasn't Mozgov the first FA to sign?

LA can't flip Blake, hes a free agent too. Him CP3 and Reddick are all free agents. The only way I see CP3 winning is if he goes ring chasing late in his career. Spurs are probably the best team he could join and they still wouldn't have enough, unless Kawhi takes a huge leap next year. I expect him to stay put in L.A for that last big contract and hope Lebron comes and joins him (he won't).

Dung is literally s---. He wouldn't have been worth $18 M a year if he wasn't made of glass.

Pretty much. Although I don't see it happening, it's not as crazy as it seems to many. PG's trade value is at an all-time low, especially coming off of the season he had.

I think they gotta go Ball. It's starting to sound like Magic likes Fox or Jackson though. Who knows. I have a feeling Magic will screw it up somehow tho. This is the same guy that would've picked Brandon Knight #1 overall that draft.

Nobody ever said Curry was gonna be the GOAT. He could have went 6 for 6 in the finals with 6 finals MVPs, been a five time MVP like Jordan and he still wouldn't be considered the GOAT by most people. Because none of them would take a 6'3 point guard seriously in the discussion. It's illogical but that's how it would go down.

Seriously though, Steph doesn't give a s--- about Finals MVP. If he did, he would have said no to the KD signing. Dude cares about rings. People hold his selflessness against him, but it's probably his greatest asset as a superstar.

Pretty sure there was a point in the NBA when the Celtics won 11 championships in 13 years. GSW has won 2 in 3 years. Come on now.
