Dec 10, 2017 Not a surprise---this song is beyond the human ears. It's not on the Spotify charts, only 2 million streams in 3 days. And the youtube views are a lot less too. itunes lookes pretty low too. IM SO HAPPY BECAUSE THAT MEANS EMINEM WILL ONLY FOCUS ON SATISFYING HIS FANS :DDDD
Dec 10, 2017 it's an unfortunate sign he's dependent on features for very high view counts. it's not so much the audio of the song. but he had no video for the song, no ads/hype for the song, no feature on the song, no mixtape. how was it supposed to reach everybody?
Dec 10, 2017 Who gives a f**k where it charts, the song wasn’t released for the masses of teenage girls that are dying to hear a pop collaboration.
Dec 10, 2017 Everyone that I’ve talked to that is a non eminem fan dislike it, I don’t think it’s terrible
Dec 10, 2017 Song is amazing. Also it doesn't matter if his singles flop and I think his sales will prove it. ...and, maybe they're going for the long-haul sales, as Ed Sheeran & Alicia Keys feats still not released. So they're obviously planning for some big songs, but, I don't personally believe people buy albums for singles anyway... Like, even if the Sheeran song was huge, do they think Ed Sheeran's fans are buying an Eminem album, who wouldn't normally, for 1 song?... That's some 99/00 thinking. Singles are just automatically on YouTube now anyway, so fans of that artist will just listen to that song and the Eminem fans who would or would not have bought the album will or won't anyway. I think it's pointless tarnishing of an album... but obviously individual song sales factor in to it, as they obviously make a lot from them and they can licence them etc.
Dec 10, 2017 Exactly. These types of songs don’t do well commercially no matter the artist. Though, I do think Paul and them expected this record to be a little more controversial than it ended up being.
Dec 10, 2017 The album is gonna sell a lot, most people are interested in Eminems album even if they think his newest music is wack Em doesnt need a great selling first single to sell an album Berzerk didnt do great but mmlp2 sold a lot
Dec 11, 2017 Both songs weren't poppy hits. I think he's choosing to push a message over pop appeal and at this point in his career I don't think the highest selling artist of last decade cares if that means his singles only chart at 14.
Dec 11, 2017 Just wish it sounded better, wtf was that first 2:45 minutes. Not much replay value. How can they let these terrible hooks through.
Dec 11, 2017 I don’t think it’s a single, therefore it can’t really flop, as being on a chart at all would be pretty impressive. If it is a single, then Eminem is a r-----. You got songs with the number 1 artist in the world right now with that 4 eyed ginger f---, and people like Alicia Keys. Idk man this dude is weird.
Dec 11, 2017 Berzerk spent at least two weeks at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, iirc, which is much better than these singles have done. Also, Rap God and The Monster both did well before the official release.
