Dec 21, 2017 Most of my mates are hip hop heads and I was trying to defend Eminem past 8 years since he released Relapse. But with Revival.. its a sonical disaster. I bumped this album once and never listened again. Being a Stan.

Dec 22, 2017 Correction those are top tier songs for today’s Eminem.. Those songs wouldn’t even make MMLP or TES.. And this is coming from someone who enjoys Revival.. But just go back and play TES and MMLP.. It’s just a whole different ball game.. I’m not trashing Revival or those songs at all.. They are good songs.. It’s just how d--- good Eminem used to be..
Dec 22, 2017 Been bumping Revival in the car a lot. I dropped Like Home/Need Me/Nowhere Fast/all skits almost immediately.. now i have a dope album that sounds like a pretty cohesive project and it's not half as bad as people are saying it is. To be honest, Eminem really did his job on this album and i think he is at the top of his game at this point in his post-hiatus career. I'm still on the fence about Untouchable. I personally like it, but it's a bit out of place on the album and it's too long. Might have been a better song for the deluxe version.
Dec 22, 2017 Spot on about Untouchable. When that intro starts I always fall into the trap of thinking this is going to be a b-----r. Then the "BLACK BOY, BLACK BOY" s--- starts and I die a little inside.
Dec 22, 2017 I think it's time we stop comparing every track with those in TES or MMLP1. And we should instead see them for what they are. These tracks are literally classics for a Modern day Eminem. If Em actually replaced Heat, Offended, Remind Me and Untouchable etc with mosre tracks that the guy just named, this would've easily been the magnum opus of Eminem(as per his new self). This albums highs are higher than alot of things Em has done since 2009. But the worst tracks are indeed the new lows for him.
