Jan 21, 2018 Wasnt IYRT digital only for a long time? And I guarentee more people know kendrick than drake People like dre and em and all are also bigger Yeah but they werent singles before the album. Songs like Hotline bling were added with the sole purpose of boosting sales. And nah it wouldnt have.
Jan 21, 2018 Why does it even matter though? It wasn't a coincidence, Drake is constantly releasing huge singles. Isn't that kind of the definition of being a big artist? Of course the singles push the sales, but that's exactly what this discussion is about. It wouldn't be fair to not count Drake's popular singles.
Jan 21, 2018 Lol stop acting like drake doesnt constantly put out songs for his next project and picks the best selling ones for his album to boost sales If sneakin blew up it 100% be on more life
Jan 21, 2018 i s--- u not, everyone i asked about kendrick, before humble dropped responded with "oh the guy in the taylor swift song?" also, what i meant is biggest rapper in the world right now, as in 2017, em did 200k and dre sold 300k just f---ing admit it man
Jan 21, 2018 Lol more people know who em and dre are than drake. Em almost did 300k. Sales dont define size Also I know that is not true
Jan 21, 2018 He does but why do you even mention it in this discussion? Big singles are a part of assessing who the bigger artist is. Drake has so many more big singles, which are boosting his album sales, too, which makes him generally a bigger artist. Although you could argue Kendrick has more influence and impact on rap.
Jan 21, 2018 Huh? I’ve been saying that joe is an annoying old man for years now. Even before his issues with drake.
Jan 21, 2018 Yeah but they werent made for the albums He releases random songs and whichever one sticks he adds it
Jan 21, 2018 Which still adds to his overall popularity though? Sure it's not fair to other artists who have another concept, but it still doesn't subtract from Drake's popularity. I get what you are saying, though. Lets compare the next Drake album to Kendricks d---, as soon as it drops of course. That will be an indicator for sure.
Jan 21, 2018 Yeah, a snippet of just “pump...pump, pump it up.” That’s all that was heard. Joe himself even said he wasn’t sure it was a diss but that didn’t stop him from jumping the gun. That wasn’t even joe’s reasoning for dissing drake first anyway. Joe said Drake was sending subs at him on “4pm in Calabasas” which he definitely wasn’t & was a reach lol. I don’t blame him for trying to capitalize on the opportunity to create some buzz. I think most rap artists in that position would have lol. Also, I’m sure joe expected Drake to respond with a diss track hence why he continued to make diss track after diss track baiting Drake for like over a month. He was clearly trying to make something out of nothing. This complex piece pretty much sums up this “beef.”
Jan 21, 2018 You'll come around eventually. God's Plan beat is dope, first time Drake's been on a Cardo track I think. Diplomatic Immunity type Drake tracks have been nowhere to be found since 4PM so I really don't understand why you not f---ing with these.
Jan 23, 2018 God's Plan is nothing new and sounds like 90% of Drake songs since 2014. I think I had that song on for 4.5 seconds before I turned it off. Diplomatic Immunity tho...This is the Drake I want. This is vintage Drake. Kudos to him for being able to capture that old sound, most musicians can't do that nearly 10 years in. When he actually raps, he's really great. That Budden diss too... flmaes
