Feb 17, 2018 Grown men ...one a sex icon (Drake) shooting a video with minors smh...song itself was good tho
Feb 17, 2018 lol Drake using f---ing charity as promotion, I love this world If you want to give, give. No need to be filmed and congratulated I agree with what @Charlie Work said too
Feb 18, 2018 Lol you must be some miserable person to complain about someone donating a milli to charity Who cares why he did it? He can flaunt all he wants. He donated a milli to the poor, what have you done?
Feb 18, 2018 Well, to be fair, the average (median?) networth is $68,000, but for people under 35 (who don't own something like a home which is a huge source of wealth) it's like $8,000. So more like $90. Again, good for Drake, but don't let it obscure the fact that accumulating massive wealth like he has is only made possible through exploitation that reinforces the very class disparity that his donations are addressing. Even using percentages to compare the average citizen to Drake is misleading. $500 from somebody who is worth $68,000, again mostly thanks to their home, is an amount of money that goes towards groceries or bills or something. Drake would have to lose tens of millions of dollars many times over to feel any change in his lifestyle or even a hint of financial insecurity.
Feb 18, 2018 Who gives a f--- about the proportion of money Drake gave out to all these people. The fact he gave away 1 million dollars to families and schools it absolutely respectable and will make a great difference. And as someone kind of mentioned, he gave away 1 million in this video, we dont know him, we dont know how many times he's given back. It's quite sad that anyone can take out negatives from this video. And when will XXxtentacion finally f--- off..
Feb 18, 2018 Best way to get people to stop giving charity is to criticise them for it Honestly you wouldnt be attacking him if he hadve made a normal mv and in that scenario there would have been one million less dollars given out to those in need Besides celebrities should make a big deal out of giving money to charity since it pressures other celebrities to do the same keeping it subtle actually helps less
Feb 18, 2018 Why does that matter? And why does it matter to u? Like what if i like to give to charity cus helping people makes me feel good about myself? What if i do it cus my preacher told me I'd go to heaven if i help others? Am I a piece of s--- cus I'm not being completely selfless and I'm helping for the wrong reasons? Shouldn't the important thing be that ppl in need are receiving help? Or is it more important that we don't insult ppl on a moral high horse
Feb 18, 2018 If you think throwing money at underprivileged, low income housing, or people who live in the ghetto is a good idea, you've never been to one. Not to mention Drake has been accused multiple times of being a culture vulture. Like, a rich white jew comes into rap using other peoples lyrics, to become rich. Questionable already. Now this fa---- is like "d--- i'm a vulture, how can i make it up to people... I'll give away 1 million of my 90 millions!!! and to show how genuine I am i'll film it all so everyone knows!" ask yourselves why he didn't do this like 2 years ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago. Dudes been rich and just decides now he's pushing 100 mill that maybe donating 1 mill is ok? he's a piece of s--- desperate for your "Omg he's such a good person" cause in reality he is probably a d-ck (telling people to f--- off who are poor that were photographing NEAR his video s---t, like he has authority over public places) Say what you want but I can see through this bs clear as day. Bet a couple homeless people took his money and then bought enough herroin to k--- themselves. "anyone who shows an emotion that isn't happiness and pure love towards a topic is mad"
Feb 18, 2018 Personally, I like to bypass the middleman and donate my money directly to the liquor store
