    For a few seconds maybe, not for an entire song.

    I think Em has lost touch with what an actual record should sound like.

    He's put too much importance into the complexity of his rhymes and it makes him go off tempo. Almost like he disregards the beat.

    There are a load of examples in the last few years where he sounds like he's actually freestyling on a song.

    A drastic improvement could be made by putting his focus on the actual music and how the record sounds rather then focusing only on lyrical gymastics. But maybe he just lost his ear?

    Having complex lyrics is only one part of a good rap song. You also have to make sure the delivery is there and that it translates to enjoyable music for the listener.

    Actually now that I think about it...

    He was dealing with the terrible response to Relapse when Mariah released that song/video lol. Must’ve felt like he had to come out all guns blazing. Which he did.

    I kinda agree but he has been 'changed' for 10 years now is it really fair to call it 'normal'?

    He also sounded different if u compare SSLP, MMLP and TES...

    And yeah his voice and style did change, which caused a lot of meh music but that didn't totally stop him from making gr8 songs like Seduction, GTC, Brainless, Bad Guy, Guts Over Fear, Fall, Stepping Stone, Airplaines etc

    Fall reminded me of vintage Shady the last verse when he said “For Lord Jamal you better leave me the h--- alone or I’ll show you an Elvis Clone walk up in this house you won’t” with the beat reminded me old Em.

    i mean, it is normal that your voice change within the years. Thats natural. I know where you coming from. The question is, what is his normal voice these days? When you compare his interviews from back in the day to the interviews from nowadays you can already hear that there is a difference. But as people said, there are songs like Stepping Stone, Castle or even tragic endings where he sound almost like back in the day. I think its no problem for him to sound like back in the day but thats not his regular voice anymore

    Yes, it can still sound now, as it was in 2002, but why he doesn't it do it more? He has lost a lot of fans since then because he started making new tracks with a terrible new voice.

    He only thinks about rhymes and forgot about his flow.
