    Isnt that what music and movie and all entertainment is about? Personal opinion? Critical acclaim means less and less each passing year

    Yeah, I agree with you on that. I’m talking more of a public opinion versus personal opinion. MMLP is still being respected and regarded as a classic album and rightly so, because it stood the test of time. TES with time got somewhat dated. It still is a great album and fondly remembered since it’s his most mainstream and the biggest one.

    Maybe if half the album didn’t follow some stupid pistolwhipping incident that was already dated when the album dropped than TES wouldn’t feel as dated now but twenty years later I couldn’t give a s---

    For me, personally it’s The Eminem Show.

    Doggystyle has 4 songs that i would happily hear and not skip.

    The Eminem Show has 11.

    Dated is a horrible argument when it comes to music. I have always and always said music is supposed to be dated. Its supposed to send you back to specific time and era and environment. Im not sure why and when did the dated and timeless argument began but its dumb as s--- and i will make an argument that every single classical album is almost always dated. Doggystyle is dated as f--- too. And so is illmatic. And thats plus to me not a minus at all

    TES is my fav Em album. That album is pure energy

    Seriously? Besides both being categorized as "rap", how do these two albums get compared in any way? They *should* evoke completely different emotions to the listeners.

    Doggystyle was one of the first rap albums I'v e ever listened to and it's one of my favorite albums of all time. Eminem Show was great but I'd take Doggystyle over it. MMLP on the other hand and we have a different discussion as it's clearly better than Eminem Show

    both are freaking great, but TES was the first album I've ever bought so I have to give it to TES.
