Aug 19, 2020 Which of these two games is the better Fallout? Been having this debate with @skip lately so I wanted to get some of your opinions. I think a good argument could be made for either game. I think Fallout 3 had better dungeons and dlc, while Fallout NV had better level design and faction interaction. I have to give the slight edge to Fallout 3 though. Discuss!
Aug 19, 2020 Quests and humour - so basically that it felt like old school Fallout. Also the fact there was no forced main quest with looking for a family member and the character felt like your character not like some predefined person.
Aug 19, 2020 Yeah, the quests and humor were definitely better than 3. Character did feel more personal. What did you think of Dead Money? @skip has given it very high praise. I've also seen plenty of good reviews.
Aug 19, 2020 Honestly I didn't play any DLCs (I played NV once when it came out). I bought it like a year ago with all the DLCs I need to find some time to play through it once again.
Aug 19, 2020 Dead Money was pretty hated when it dropped and is pretty rage inducing. All other dlcs are dope. You should definitely find the time to play them. I recommend starting with Honest Hearts. You ever play 3's dlc?
Aug 19, 2020 Yeah, I did play Operation Anchorage, The Pitt, Broken Steel and half of the Point Lookout.
Aug 19, 2020 I would say The Pitt since it was the most memorable for me. I didn't play too much of the Point Lookout so I can't form opinion on that one.
Aug 19, 2020 Yeah the Pitt was my favorite also. The environment and overall feeling was really fitting in the grim Fallout universe. Point Lookout always felt like it could've been better.
Aug 19, 2020 Ofc that’s what I always did in every playthrough f--- that place. But siding with the powder gangers and taking over goodsprings felt so much better and that’s when I knew nothing could ever top NV.
Aug 19, 2020 Same. Blew it up once then reloaded the save lol. You’re missing out on a dope house. I always just walk up to the dude who propositions you and blow his head off.
